As we approach the next step in government guidance on 17th May, we are excited to be making plans for the return of Badminton England’s Circuit Tournaments. From today, tournament organisers looking to get competitors back on court can do so on our website.
It’s been great to see junior clubs back on court since April 12th, and we will be kick-starting the season with a Junior Gold tournament for each of the under 19/17/15/13 age groups in May and June. Entry will open later this week, once venues are confirmed;
- U13 Gold 29th & 30th May
- U15 Gold 5th & 6th June
- U17 Gold 12th & 13th June
- U19 Gold 26 & 27th June
Of course, tournaments will operate differently to ensure the safety of all who take part, and that they run in compliance with government guidance. Guidance is still changeable and we will remain flexible and adaptive to ensure we can provide the best possible competitive experience, and help as many players as possible return to competitive play.
Senior and Masters Circuits will be starting from 21st June – keep an eye on https://be.tournamentsoftware.com for all upcoming tournaments.
Regrettably, and in agreement with the Badminton England Performance team, the 2020 Age Group Nationals will not be held this year. After such a long layoff, we want to provide a range of opportunities for players to get back on court, training and ready to compete in preparation for the 2021 Age Group Nationals at the end of the year in November and December.
