As a registered coach member of Badminton England, you can receive many exciting benefits and opportunities to enhance your coaching as well as DBS checks and safeguarding training every three years as part of your membership.
With a Badminton England Coach Membership, you can be safe in the knowledge that you are fully covered with public liability insurance should an accident occur on the court. Members can also access a range of further benefits, including exclusive discounts from online retailer directbadminton.co.uk and a 10% discount off the general sale ticket price for the YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships. Coach Members can receive access to our Member Rewards Hub, providing discounts and savings from a number of national retailers including PureGym, John Lewis and Apple.

Coach Membership
A coach membership is designed to make the role of a coach earning a living from coaching easier to inspiring and developing players of all ages and abilities. This membership is for coaches who are earning over £5,000 per annum, but less than £50,000 in coaching fees. This membership allows coaches to focus on delivering sessions that maximise the participant experience and earning a living from coaching by supporting coaches with the following membership benefits:
Volunteer Coach Membership
Volunteer Coach Membership is designed to make the role of a coach easier for those inspiring and developing players of all ages and abilities. This membership is for coaches who are either a volunteer coach or earn less than £5,000 per annum in coaching fees. This memberships allows coaches to focus on delivering sessions that maximise the participant experience by supporting coaches with the following membership benefits:

The following criteria and minimum standards are required for a Paid Coach Membership.
- Hold a Badminton England Coaching Qualification.
- Have completed a DBS check through Badminton England in the last 3 years.
Have complete Safeguarding training approved by Badminton England within the last 3 years.
Earn more than £5,000 and less than £50,000 per annum in coaching fees.
The following criteria and minimum standards are required for a Volunteer Coach Membership.
Hold a Badminton England Coaching Qualification.
- Have completed a DBS check through Badminton England in the last 3 years.
- Have complete Safeguarding training approved by Badminton England within the last 3 years.
- Earn less than £5,000 per annum in coaching fees.
