The Racket Pack

Aimed at children aged 5-11, The Racket Pack provides fun and engaging skill-based sessions, ensuring a positive first experience of badminton regardless of whether you are in a school, club or leisure centre. The Racket Pack resources can be delivered within curriculum time, meeting national curriculum  requirements, as well as in extra-curricular or within a junior club session ensuring that all children are active and engaged in the activity.

Sign up free of charge to the Badminton England Resource Hub and check out the Teachers group for a host of resources, lesson plans, festival and competition ideas and much more to support your delivery.

TRP London

The Racket Pack has been designed to be delivered in any environment, particularly your typical primary school halls which do not have the space, height, or court markings that you would expect in a sports hall. Sessions have been designed to cater for large numbers in a small space, and so multi-court sports halls are not needed.

The Racket Pack programme has been split into three topics to represent the three age groups (Y1&2, Y3&4, Y5&6). In each age group you will find lesson plans, technical videos and festival and competition formats.

Programme specific courses have been developed to support the training of both teachers and coaches to deliver The Racket Pack.

There is equipment available to suit the size of the players and support their skill development.
