Are you looking to put what was covered in your coaching education into practice? Looking to gain delivery experience whilst earning?

To support your delivery, we have a range of programmes suited to different audiences providing you with readymade content to deliver, helping us to grow the engagement in our programmes.

What is Essentials?

Aimed at those new to the game this 8-week programme provides all the badminton basics to build our confidence on court.

What is an Essentials Endorsed Coach?

With the aim of Essentials being to offer a coaching course to learn the badminton basics at a relaxed pace in a fun and friendly setting, an Essentials coach needs to be:

  • Able to introduce the basics skills of the game to a variety of mixed abilities
  • Facilitate a relaxed social environment that allows participants to connect with each other and the sport
  • Able to ensure each participant achieves a sense of personal achievement every session
  • Able to increase the playing confidence of all participants
  • A UKCC Level 2 or equivalent qualified coach who is part of Badminton England’s Coach Accreditation Scheme

How do I become an Essentials Endorsed Coach?

To become an Essentials Endorsed Coach you are required to hold a UKCC Level 2 (Or equivalent) coaching qualification and be a coaching member of Badminton England. If you meet these requirements and are a motivated individual who is friendly, personable, and passionate about coaching the badminton basics, please contact us for more information on this opportunity.

What is No Strings Badminton?

Suitable for all abilities, it provides an easily accessible, social and enjoyable environment for those new to the game or looking to start again.

What is a No Strings Badminton Coordinator?

With the aim of No Strings Badminton being to offer easily accessible, social and enjoyable environment for those new to the game or looking to start again, a No Strings Badminton Coordinator needs to be able to:

  • Ensure everyone feels welcomed & encouraged to be active
  • Sessions are organised and everyone is rotated on court for games
  • There is a relaxed environment that allows participants to meet new friends and have fun
  • Everyone is motivated to come back week after week

By becoming a No Strings Coordinator gain experience in organising group activities, differentiating levels of play to make sure participants are getting the most out of the session. You will also develop your self-confidence, interpersonal and communication skills.

How do I become a No Strings Badminton Coordinator?

There is no coaching pre-requisite to become a No Strings Coordinator. If you are a motivated individual who is friendly, personable, organised, and passionate about getting more people to play badminton, please contact us for more information on this opportunity.

What is SmashUp!?

SmashUp! Is an innovative collection of resources to support delivery to young people aged 11 – 16 including, interactive games to support player engagement.

What is a SmashUp! Activator?

Aimed at young people aged 12-16 SmashUp! supports schools and clubs to provide both fun engaging badminton games to help develop their skills. SmashUp! can be delivered as an informal session by Activators whose role is to:

  • Facilitate fun and high energy sessions that are safe throughout
  • Ensure sessions are participant-led
  • Use SmashUp! to engage and inspire young people to pick up a racket and keep coming back week after week

By becoming a SmashUp! Activator you will gain experience in organising group activities, facilitating sessions and interacting and engaging with young people. It is also an opportunity to improve on your self-confidence, interpersonal and communication skills.

How do I become a No Strings Badminton Coordinator?

There is no coaching pre-requisite to become a SmashUp! Activator with the emphasis on the softer personal skills. If you are a motivated individual who is engaging and inspiring, innovative, organised, and passionate about encouraging more young people to pick up a racket, please contact us for more information on this opportunity.

What is The Racket Pack?

Aimed at children aged 5-11, The Racket Pack provides fun and engaging skill-based sessions, ensuring a positive first experience of badminton regardless of whether they are in a school, club or leisure centre environment. A Racket Pack coach needs to:

  • Have an awareness of how young people learn and experience of advancing their learning in a range of settings
  • Experience of planning and delivering high quality coaching sessions to young people within a badminton setting.
  • A UKCC Level 2 or equivalent qualified coach who is part of Badminton England’s Coach Accreditation Scheme

As a Racket Pack endorsed coach, you will have the opportunity to increase your coaching experience with young people, improve your ability to deliver dynamic sessions reacting to the situation presented, communication and leadership skills.

How do I become a Racket Pack Coach?

To become endorsed coach who can deliver in schools and lead club sessions you are required to hold a UKCC 2 (or equivalent) coaching qualification and be a member of our Coach Accreditation scheme. If you meet these requirements and are a motivated individual who is friendly, personable, and passionate about helping young people to learn how to play, please contact us for more information on this opportunity.
