National Schools Badminton Championships Girls

7 October 2024

As part of our ongoing partnership with Babolat, Badminton England are excited to announce the introduction of a new competition.

The U13 Babolat Cup will build on the existing county competition structure and provide exciting and inspiring opportunities for young talented players who are the future of our sport.

Singles winners from the U13 Junior County Restricted Tournaments will be invited to participate in the U13 Babolat Cup for the chance to compete to become the Babolat Cup Champion.

There will be multiple prizes on offer, many of which will be special ‘money-can’t-buy’ experiences developed through our partnership with Babolat.

“Inspired by our very successful tennis model, Babolat want to provide new inspiring opportunities for talented young players – and for those winners to create everlasting memories that they carry through their engagement with the sport and with the Babolat brand,” a Babolat spokesperson said.

A Badminton England spokesperson added, “At Badminton England, one of our core strategic aims is to encourage and support more young people to play and progress in the world of badminton.

“Our continued partnership with Babolat is integral to striving to meet those strategic objectives – whether that be their support in our National Schools Championships or the birth of the Babolat Cup.

“We are looking forward to this new competition inspiring the next generation!”

Players will receive a welcome pack on arrival and spend the day with Babolat at the tournament – and there will be plenty of opportunities to win some excellent prizes, including sponsorship contracts, tickets to Babolat events and a behind-the-scenes tour of BabolatHQ in 2025.

Players who win their County Restricted singles competitions can apply here.

Dates: Sunday 10th November, 9am – 6pm

Venue: Sandwell Aquatics Centre, Birmingham

Congratulations to everyone competing in and supporting their County Restricted tournaments!
