Get yourself into BADMINTON England's pool of 'endorsed Activators'!

SmashUp! - a brand new BADMINTON England endorsed product - is a modern mix of school mates, bassline pumping music and big hitting badminton challenges that makes after school badminton court time a social hub.

It's a vibrant place where the usual rules don't apply, tradition is laughed at and where the 13-16 year old players set the tempo then define the boundaries.

And BADMINTON England are on a mission to give you the skills and training required to put the ‘cool’ back into the ‘after school’ delivery of badminton when we launch SmashUp! at schools right across the country.

Are you enthusiastic, engaging and know how to interact with non-sporty school kids that think badminton is "old fashioned"? If yes then step forward. We want to equip you with the Badminton skills to host and lead all new branded in-school sessions that feature:

• Flexible weekly session plans that pupils pick in advance
• A playlist of current music, selected by the players, as the backdrop to court time
• Weekly ‘branded’ badminton challenges
• A choice of ‘branded’ activities (all with a modern, innovative twist)
• Different courts playing out different activities
• Themed weeks and regular promotions to keep the interest
• Mixing of year groups improving social interaction

Where you can play your part...

In order to support this exciting new programme, BADMINTON England are looking to build up a nationwide database of enthusiastic, engaging ‘activators’ whom we can call upon, when appropriate or suitable, to work with schools and lead the all new branded in-school sessions.

We are seeking people to put themselves forward to join the 'Activator' database and, once accepted, form a pool of 'endorsed Activators' that will then have the opportunity to be deployed into schools around the Country!

BADMINTON England will not be directly employing these activators but will be seeking to coordinate placement into participating schools.

Whilst we cannot give guarantees of employment, this is great chance to work alongside BADMINTON England and forge new local relationships that could develop new business opportunities for you.

• You need to be available to work at after school clubs – ideally weekdays 3pm – 6pm
• You need to have access to your own transport or have a method of travelling to different schools
• You should be willing to work with two to four different schools per week
• You will be self employed and responsible for your own tax affairs
