The Badminton Gazette of March 1911 is dominated by reports and results form the All England Championships, four players winning a title for the first time. The new champions were Guy Sautter, Miss Larminie, Messrs. Fitton and Hawthorn, Miss Cundall and Miss Gowenlock, and George Thomas and Miss Larminie.

Only four courts were marked out, extra seating for spectators being available and attendance by spectators was greatly increased. Although the Royal Horticultural Hall has many points in its favour, it is a pity that it does not afford better playing conditions. No international match was played during the Championships which lead to fewer players from Ireland and Scotland participating than usual. There are more photographs than usual with six relating to the All England.

The Annual General Meeting of the Association was held during the Championships and after some discussion a resolution to abolish setting was abandoned.

There is a report on the international between England and Ireland played in Dublin during the Irish Championships – England won 6-1, but most matches were well contested. It is reported that as new regulations for the conduct of international matches are not yet in place, it had been was decided to play a third men’s singles in place of the ladies’ doubles

The Northern Championships, Irish Championships, Hampshire Championships, Guildford Tournament and Surrey Championships are all reported with results.
