Badminton England are taking the time to promote safe sport for everyone during Safeguarding and Wellbeing Week.
The week of action will take place from Monday 1 July, with various opportunities for clubs to enhance their knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.
A series of free education sessions and resources will be avaliable for all Badminton England members to help create safe and inclusive environments for everyone in the sport.

Monday 1st July
Gordon MacLelland from ‘Working With Parents In Sport’ is set to deliver a 90 minute workshop (endorsed by UK Coaching) entitled ‘How to Build Positive Relationships with Athlete’s Parents.’
This workshop will provide tips and strategies to help coaches educate, engage and collaborate with parents in the most positive way.

Tuesday 2nd July
Jude Toasland from the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit will join forces with Sport Welfare Officer Sarah Goddard to deliver a 60-minute webinar on ‘Safer Events’.

Wednesday 3rd July
Badminton England are partnering with Mental Health Innovations to provide an engaging and thought provoking webinar, designed and delivered by Dr Ariele Noble, a chartered psychologist and executive coach with over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health and wellness.
With the aim of creating safe and supportive spaces for the badminton community, Dr Noble will share knowledge and insight on self-care and skills to better support others.

Thursday 4th July
Nicola Dean from the Ann Craft Trust will deliver a 60-minute webinar on #SaferCultureSaferBadminton.
This session will help with create understanding that working towards a safer culture is a critical part of achieving safeguarding best practice for everyone, irrespective of age, role or level of participation.
