Indoor sports facilities reopened on Saturday 25th July. The return to play hub provides everything you need to help you get back on court with guidance, resources and links to key tools.
Our guidance for the return to play has been approved by DCMS and Public Health England – as such, our guidance meets all Government requirements and is the basis upon which any club, coach, player or facility should manage the return of badminton.
This section also includes information on how to play outdoors and how we are working to help get more facilities reopened. And if you can’t find you what you need, please complete our contact form and a member of the team will get back to you. If you query is related to facilities, including letting us know if your facility is open or closed, please use our Return to Play – Venue Feedback form to get in touch.
The Government will periodically announce local lockdowns and enhanced restrictions. Currently:
- Leisure centres are not allowed to open in Leicester, so playing badminton indoors is not allowed
- Leisure centres are not allowed to open in Blackburn with Darwen, so playing badminton indoors is not allowed
- Leisure centres are not allowed to open in Bradford, so playing badminton indoors is not allowed
- The Government has announced additional restrictions in Greater Manchester, Preston and parts of East Lancashire and West Yorkshire.
Anyone living in an affected area must only play with those from their own household until restrictions are lifted. More than one household cannot play in the same bubble.
