Club and County Volunteering

Volunteering Opportunities right on your doorstep

Local badminton clubs

There are over 1,800 affiliated badminton clubs across England who each rely on a  volunteer workforce to run smoothly every week.

You can lend an extra pair of helping hands in all sorts of important ways, including:

  • Coaching and co-ordinating club nights

  • Team and squad managers

  • Fund-raising

  • Player welfare

  • Commitee members

  • Local publicity officers

  • Event organisation

  • Club administration

County Badminton Associations

County Badminton Associations provide a whole range of opportunities locally to volunteer, including senior and junior coaching, helping host local tournaments and put on a wide range of badminton court time initiatives that get the local community playing.

County Badminton Associations are always looking to recruit session co-ordinators for Badminton England court time opportunities such as No Strings Badminton, Essentials and SmashUp!

Local Leagues

Your local badminton league provides much of the regular competition for club standard players.  But they need help from volunteers to organise fixtures, record results and oversee the day-to-day running of this vital level of competition.

Community Badminton Networks (CBNs)

Community Badminton Networks bring local people and community minded groups together to develop badminton in their area.  CBNs are always looking for keen volunteers to help organise and deliver activity, such as beginner coaching sessions and organised court time sessions.

Performance Centres

Our network of nationwide Performance Centres provide a platform to raise standards for players. They are very reliant on volunteers to support their day to day running – this is a great way to contribute to the development of the next generation of talent.
