The search is on for new Badminton Officials

BADMINTON England and the Badminton Line Judges Association of England (BLJAofE) work closely together and are seeking volunteers keen to become involved in badminton officiating as line judges.

The BLJAofE will be organising line judge training courses at various venues in the country for the remainder of the 2013-14 season and beyond.

Course venues and dates will be published on the BLJAofE website and the BADMINTON England Volunteers Portal from time to time during the year, so look out for a course near you.

The course is a one-day event, consisting of theory and practical sessions, and runs for approximately four hours.

Those who pass the course will then be given opportunities to line judge at local and national events before being assessed as being suitable for major events, such as the Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships and the London Grand Prix.

The course will also offer the chance to line judge overseas at other national events.

If you want to experience badminton at its best and see the world’s best players in action, why not give line judging a try?

For more information on what line judging is all about, please see our website: www.bljaofe.org.uk where you will also find a contact form if you would like to find out more information.
