Great day for the English in the Netherlands!

There will be another two all-England match ups on Thursday at the YONEX Dutch Open.


Chris and Gabby Adcock knocked out Callum Hemming and Jenny Moore from the XD Round of 32 today 21-17 21-9 but the Adcocks again play English opposition in the next round.


This is in the form of Greg Mairs and Vicky Williams who won their Round of 32 match on Tuesday.


This match up should be played around 2pm on Thursday.


The other all-England affair on Thursday 10th October sees MD pairings Hemmings/Mairs play Ellis/Langridge after both pairs won in straight sets today.


Marcus Ellis and Lauren Smith beat local opponents, Ruben Julle and Alyssa Tirtosentono who made the English pair work hard for their 21-18 22-20 win.


The number one seeds will play GUO Xin Wa/ZHANG Shu Xian of China tomorrow.


Our only WD pair won 21-11 21-12 against Kirsten and Sabine De Wit of the Netherlands today. Jenny Moore and Victoria Williams play the French seventh seeds Delphine DELRUE/Lea PALERMO tomorrow.


Ben Lane and Sean Vendy were the third English pair to conquer the Dutch today, they beat Ruben Jille and his MD partner Ties Van der Lecq 11-21 21-13 21-17.


Lane and Vendy will play the Chinese sixth seeds HUANG Kai Xiang/LIU Cheng in the last match with English involvement tomorrow.


Amazingly Birch and Smith saw the only English defeat today; Iwanaga/Nakanishi of Japan won 21-11 21-13.


And our only Singles player competing, Toby Penty, earnt a R16 match-up with Sergey Sirant of Russia having beaten Raul Must of Estonia in straight sets today.
