Badminton England seeking further clarity on Government update 8/9/20

We, much like the majority of players who have enjoyed getting back on court recently, are aware of the most recent Government update in relation to changes to gathering sizes across the country made late last night (8th September)

We had no advanced notice of these changes and as of this morning are working with Sport England and the Government to get clarification and understand if the changes impact our current guidance and planned move to the next stage of our Return to Play roadmap.

We recognise the uncertainty caused by the Government’s announcement on the momentum that so many of our badminton community had gathered to returning. We are committed to keeping you as informed as possible and as soon as we have clarification from the Government, we will be sure to update you.

Please follow Badminton England's Twitter and Facebook feeds for updates. Any updates will also be published here.

The gradual restoration of badminton up until this point in time has been achieved through extensive lobbying of Government, made easier by the enormous support from you, the badminton community. Those of you who have been able to return to play have, by following our guidance, demonstrated that badminton is a safe sport to play.
