Adcocks seeded for Indonesian rematch

Chris and Gabby Adcock are in line for another encounter with their Indonesian rivals when the Malaysian Open begins on Wednesday.

The Adcocks have been seeded to face Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir, Indonesia's number one pair, in the quarter-finals, in what would be a repeat of their last eight clash at the YONEX All England earlier this month.

Seeded fifth in Kuala Lumpur, the Adcocks will play Danny Bawa Chrisnanta and Yu Yan Vanessa Neo, the unseeded Singapore pair, on Wednesday.

Rajiv Ouseph has been drawn against K Srikanth, who won the India Open at the weekend.

Fourth-seeded Srikanth will prove a considerable test for Ouseph, playing his first match since the All England earlier this month, where he reached the last eight for the first time.

In the men's doubles, Chris Langridge and Marcus Ellis will play a qualifying pair in the first round.

Should they progress, a second round encounter against All England champions Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen awaits.

At the Finnish Open, Matthew Nottingham and Harley Towler will aim to replicate their form of last week when they lifted the Orleans International title.

The English pair are again unseeded and play Ivan Nikitin and Vladimir Nikulov, of Russia, in the first round.

Heather Olver and Lauren Smith, who lost in the women's doubles final in Orleans, are top seeds in Vantaa.

Towler and Emily Westwood compete in the mixed doubles event.
