Adcocks clinch sixth spot for Dubai

Chris and Gabby Adcock are no strangers to strong performances in Dubai and they are hoping the World Superseries Finals 2017 will be no different.

Having missed out on retaining their title last year, the duo are looking to return to winning ways when they take to the Hamdan Sports Complex courts from 13 -17 December.

Having become the first British players to reach a final at the end-of-year showdown in 2015, the world number five pair have secured the sixth spot on the Destination Dubai rankings.

The finale will feature the world’s best players battling it out for the end of season crown but the English mixed doubles stars know that reaching a third consecutive final will be no easy task.

Chris said: “The best eight pairs in the world will be there so it’s always tough but we are excited by the challenge!”

Having competed in nine Superseries events so far this year, securing their plane ticket to Dubai was a momentous achievement for the pair.
