Ben Lane and Jessica Pugh, England's rising mixed doubles pair, begin their international season at this week's Iceland International.
Following their World Junior Championship campaign in November, the English pair reached the second rounds at the Irish Open and Welsh International at the back end of last year.
And their 2016 senior career starts in earnest in Reykjavik on Friday where they are seeded fourth.
Lane and Pugh will play either Josh Neil and Rebekka Findlay, of Scotland, or Iceland's David Bjornsson and Drifa Hardardottir in the second round.
Lane and Sean Vendy will play local hopes Palmi Gudfinnsson and Daniel Thomsen in their opening men's doubles encounter.
Chloe Birch and Jenny Wallwork are seeded third in the women's doubles, with the English duo afforded a bye into Friday's second round.
Pugh and Sarah Walker will play Anna Paavola and Sonja Pekkola, of Finland.
Birch was also due to take on women's singles top seed Kate Foo Kune, of Mauritius, until the latter's late withdrawal. She will now play a qualifier.
Meanwhile, Heather Olver and Lauren Smith's continued bid for Olympic qualification points sees them line up at the Syed Modi International in Lucknow.
The unseeded duo are scheduled to meet Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa, India's sixth seeds, in the first round.
Marcus Ellis and Chris Langridge were late withdrawals from the men's doubles.
