Parsons and Walker set for Estonia test

Rhys Walker

England will be represented in the men's singles when the 2016 season opens up at the Yonex Estonian International this week.

Rhys Walker has been handed a tough opening test to his New Year campaign.

Walker, pictured, begins his quest against top seed and local favourite Raul Must on Friday at the TTÜ Sport Hall in Tallin.

It is the second successive tournament that Walker, the world number 137, has been pitted against the event's top seed, having faced Germany's Marc Zweibler in last month's Italian International.

Meanwhile, Sam Parsons warms up for the defence of his national title at the beginning of February with a first round encounter against Luis Ramon Garrido, of Mexico.

Parsons, who won the Hatzor International in October, is likely to face fifth-seeded Lithuanian Kestutis Navickas in the second round if he can progress.
