Welcome to the National Badminton Centre, the home of English Badminton.
Our sport’s centre provides world-class badminton courts and gym facilities used by Olympic athletes. We are open to individuals, clubs and the local community to enjoy.
The property is also home to a 3-star 25 room hotel – The Lodge, a sports bar and the barn restaurant.
And why not pay a visit to the National Badminton Museum, located within the NBC, when you in Milton Keynes. The museum is a small charity run by volunteers and celebrates the rich history of badminton in this country with exhibitions unlike any other.
The NBC is located in a quiet suburban part of Milton Keynes, adjacent to Lodge Lake in Loughton, close to Milton Keynes Shopping Centre and Milton Keynes Central Train Station

National Badminton Centre Courts
Play on the very same courts as our world class performance players. As well as being able to book courts individually, we host our own No Strings Badminton and coaching sessions and are home to a number of local senior and junior badminton clubs. We also offer group weekend residential courses led by international coaches. What better place to get on court whatever your goals and aspirations.

Our gym is designed with inclusivity in mind. The NBC aims to provide everyone with a bespoke fitness experience in a friendly and welcoming environment. Our Fitness Suite, Functional Gym and variety of Group Exercise Classes provide the perfect setting for you to achieve your goals.

Volunteers realising the importance of recording and preserving badminton’s heritage formed a committee in 2003. The National Badminton Museum was launched later in that year and was officially opened on 9th September 2003, by Neil Cameron, Chief Executive of the International Badminton Federation (now the BWF). In 2007 the museum was granted charity status. It is managed by trustees and there is a working party of volunteers who are responsible for the day-to-day running of the museum.
The museum hosts one of the finest and most comprehensive collections of badminton artefacts, archives and memorabilia in the world which is displayed for all to see…free of charge. Visitors are welcome to look around the museum unescorted during the opening hours of the National Badminton Centre.
