Greg and Jenny Mairs’ DAIHATSU Indonesia Masters campaign was cut short in the opening round by Chinese Taipei duo Hu Ling Fang and Yang Po-Hsuan.
The pair battled hard in their first game but missed out on taking an early advantage, losing 24-22 21-12 overall at the Super 500 tournament.
The Mairs are still in search of their first win of 2024 but will continue to power on with an opportunity to defend their mixed doubles title at the English National Badminton Championships from 3-4 February.
A whole host of English talent also feature at the upcoming RSL Iceland International 2024 including Michael Pang, with the competition getting underway on 25 January.
