Q - What does the National Schools Badminton Championships involve?
The Championships will be played out over a series of 4 inter-school events, split by gender and age. Teams are made up of 5 players from each age group.
The age groups are as follows:
KS3 Boys (Years 7, 8 & 9)
KS3 Girls (Years 7, 8 & 9)
KS4 Boys (Years 10 & 11)
KS4 Girls (Years 10 & 11) 
Each round will feature competitive, high quality inter-school badminton. The first three rounds are the local, county and regional rounds that all come to a head at the National Finals Weekend.
Q - How do I enter my school?
To enter a school team(s) to play in the competition, you must be in a position of power at the school as you will be the named contact for all arrangements. Contact your local School Game Organiser (SGO) to enter the National Schools Championships, or email to find out who your local SGO is.
Q - When is the entry deadline?
There is no entry deadline for the National Schools Championships as schools can enter with their SGO right up until the date of the local level competition. However, as SGOs organise this round of competition, you need to contact your SGO as soon as possible to ensure that you are included in their plans for the local round.
Q - How do I find out the information for the next round if my school progresses?
The organisers of the Level 3 or Level 4 rounds might attend prior rounds to be able to personally hand you the details of the next round, or, they might send out the information to the email address you provide to your SGO when entering the competition. However, if you are unsure on this information or need any other information about the National Schools Championships, please email
