Competition Structure

The National Schools Championships is run as part of the School Games and complements the structure as follows:
Level 1
Level 1 is a primary school level.
Level 2 (local round)
Level 2 competitions are organised by School Games Organisers at a local school venue. If you are unaware of your School Games Organiser’s contact details please email nationalschoolschampionships@badmintonengland.co.uk 
Level 3 (county round)
Must be held before 9 February 2018
County competitions are held in a school, leisure centre, or badminton centre as arranged by the local delivery partner. They are often held as part of a local School Games festival but can also be held separately. You will be contacted by the local delivery partner with regards to the details of your county round following your successful progression through your Local round.
Level 4 (regional round)
Must be held before 30 March 2018
This round is contested between the winners of the county rounds within the following nine regions:
·         East;
·         East Midlands;
·         London
·         North East
·         North West
·         South East
·         South West
·         West Midlands
·         Yorkshire

National Finals Weekend
KS4:  Saturday 28 April 2018
KS3:  Sunday 29 April 2018
The year group competition finals will be held between the winning teams from each regional round at the National Badminton Centre, Milton Keynes.
