England Performance Training

England Performance Training (EPT)

What is EPT?

EPT is a national training platform designed to provide high quality weekly training for our Junior Programme Players.

The objectives of EPT are:
• To progress junior players to GB and England Programme Level
• To prepare players for the intensity of senior squad training at the NBC

Player Invitations

EPT is primarily for England Junior Programme Players and these players will be invited by Badminton England to attend sessions.

Additional players can be invited into EPT sessions by the Host in agreement with Badminton England in order to provide feeding, sparring and add value to the training environment.

These additional players are identified based on the needs of the Programme Players within each specific EPT group.

Expectations

Players are expected to attend on a regular basis. This will be monitored closely by the Host and Badminton England.

EPT should be priority training for England Junior Programme Players and on top of this they should maintain an appropriate number of weekly training hours through PC sessions, individuals and off court training.
