Krysten Coombs 1200

5 September, 2024

Badminton England are delighted to announce that entry is now open for the 2024 UK Para-Badminton Championships.

The third staging of the event, founded in 2019, is the perfect event to build on our Paralympics GB success in Paris earlier this month.

With two superb silver medals from the team, we hope the performances from Daniel Bethell, Krysten Coombs, Jack Shephard and Rachel Choong will have inspired more people to get involved in this incredible event.

The Championships will take place on the weekend of 22-24 November 2024 at the English Institute of Sport (EIS) in Sheffield.

All players competing will need to have been formally nationally/internationally classified into one of the 6 BWF Para-Badminton Classes – WH1, WH2, SL3, SL4, SU5 or SH6.

GB Para-badminton Head Coach Richard Morris is delighted the Championships are back and that entry is now open.

He said: “It is great to see the field at the UK Championships grow year on year!

“Watching new players and World and Paralympic medallists share a court is incredible!

“I encourage anyone with a disability to enter.”

Entry for this tournament closes at 12 noon on Friday 18th October 2024.
