Following a scintillating tournament last year, Badminton England are excited to announce the launch of the English National Badminton Championships 2024.

The Championships will take place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th February 2024 and will once again be held at the University of Nottingham’s David Ross Sports Village.

The event presents a perfect opportunity for badminton fans to spectate the finest domestic duels the country has to offer, with another first-class draw expected in the new year.

Tickets can be purchased at £6 for adults and £3 for children with free parking on site.

Last year, supporters enjoyed a memorable weekend in the East Midlands, watching Ben Lane and Sean Vendy claimed the men’s doubles title following a thrilling final clash against Alex Green and Brandon Yap.

Greg and Jenny Mairs came out on top in the mixed doubles and, in the women’s singles, unseeded three-time semi-finalist Kirby Ngan became 2023 champion.

Johnnie Torjussen claimed a third national title in a row as Abbygael Harris and Annie Lado narrowly missed out on the women’s doubles title at the hands of Chloe Birch and Jennifer Wallwork.

This year, the Championships are set to witness another strong player field, with confirmation of the draw expected early next year.

The prestigious tournament crowned its first winners, Bill Havers and Ursula Smith, in 1964 and has played host to the best shuttling talent for more than half a century since.

Sizes of the draw stand at 24 for singles and 16 for doubles and selected courts will be streamed on Badminton England’s YouTube channel across both days.

The Championships are a fantastic chance for badminton spectators to feast upon at least seven hours of high-standard court action.

Play starts at 10am each day and match results can be followed through Tournament Planner and Live Score on all courts throughout the weekend.

Badminton England have both promotional and workforce opportunities through Nottingham County Badminton Assocation.
