How I got started as a coach: Coached during my playing career. Retired as a player in 2005 and went into full time coaching privately and at the NBC on a day basis. 

I have been a member of the National Coaching Team since 2005 and have worked across different areas in that time including junior, transition and senior. I have taken the lead in all five disciplines at different stages of my time at the National Centre and am now the lead for the England Performance Pathway.

Ambition: To coach a pair to Olympic medal level, To be a good dad.

Coaching highlights: World Championships Silver Medal in 2011, Olympic Coach in 2012, Commonwealth Games Gold/Silver Medal in 2014, Superseries Finals Gold in 2015, Olympic Coach in 2016, European Championships 2x Gold Medals in 2017.

Away from work: I enjoy my time with my fiancée and my two children, in particular watching my son play football and watching my daughter sing Lion King songs!

Favourite sport other than badminton: F1 and football
