Easton and Green

Rory Easton and Lizzie Tolman soared to a mixed doubles semi-final appearance at the YONEX Belgian International.

The duo were the only British pair to reach the final four, with Easton also reaching the men’s doubles quarter-finals alongside Alex Green.

Easton and Tolman battled through a tough quarter-final showing against Spain’s Ruben Garcia and Lucia Rodgriguez in Belgium, initially going down 19-21 before pouncing back to clinch the win 19-21 21-16 21-15.

Reaching the final four, they ultimately fell 21-14 21-15 to eventual winners Rasmus Espersen and Amalie Cecilie Kudsk of Denmark in the semi-final.

It was a long day for Easton who had also teamed up with Green in the men’s doubles quarter-final.
