Beccy Lewis – Regional Manager – North

Beccy Lewis

Area of work/focus

As a Regional Manager, my role is to support all clubs, coaches, counties, players, volunteers, and the wider Badminton community to grow and develop the sport across the North.

I’m focusing on taking Badminton to non-traditional spaces, we are fortunate to have a sport that can be played anywhere, and in the North, we demonstrate that. We have No Strings Badminton Sessions, in Mosques, Churches, community centres and outdoor areas and there will be many more to come too!

Background

I have always worked in the sports sector, gaining most of my experience being in netball in development roles, coaching and volunteering. Working for England Netball I worked on several development projects to grow the game and to bring opportunities for people of all ages from 2-102, and I hope to continue this with our Badminton Community.

Badminton buzz!

I love the fact that badminton is so inclusive, no matter on your age, ability or background, badminton is a sport that appeals to all. The Badminton community have an exciting future ahead with Badminton England’s new strategy demonstrating that badminton will continue to grow as a thriving community. I’m looking forward to being a part of the inspirational prospects across the north.
