January 16, 2024

In their first tournament together, Chloe Birch and Estelle van Leeuwen embarked on a fine run to the final of the Estonian International.

The pair didn’t drop a game and didn’t concede more than 12 points in a single game en route to the final in Tallinn.

Despite a fightback, they met their matches in the shape of tenacious Turks Bengisu Ercetin and Nazlican Inci who took the women’s doubles title.

Ercetin and Inci won a tight and tense first game 23-21 but their English opponents fought back to take the second 21-16.

The Turkish duo took the initiative to claim the decider 21-8, wrapping up the win in 59 minutes.

Plenty of other English players were in action in Estonia with Miu Lin Ngan, Jamie Pearcy, Leona Lee, Harry Huang and Ethan Rose all tasting victory before exiting ahead of the weekend.
