Badminton England is proud to announce an extension of its partnership with Yonex, building on the successful and long-standing relationship between the two organisations.
Yonex has come on board as Official Title Partner of the YONEX All England Junior Badminton Championships and the YONEX All England Senior Badminton Championships.
The YONEX All England Junior Badminton Championships, is a new U19 Junior International Series tournament on the Badminton Europe Circuit, that will take place from 27-30 July 2023 at the University of Birmingham.
The tournament showcases the very best domestic players in England and supports Badminton England’s ambition to provide junior players with more opportunities to compete on the world stage. The event will also provide home advantage in the race to earn BWF ranking points and develop their promising careers.
The YONEX All England Senior Badminton Championships is a longstanding tournament which was staged for the 105th time in April this year. Over 500 players from a total of 15 different countries were in action in Hertfordshire this spring and we look forward to further building on this success with Yonex’s support.
Next year’s YONEX All England Senior Badminton Championships will take place from 11-14 April 2024, attracting competitors aged 35 to 75 from around the world for top level singles and doubles action.
Alongside supporting the events with all shuttle and equipment requirements, Yonex will also provide a stringing service and on-site retail environment to enhance the experience for players and spectators.
This extended commitment to the All England events builds on Yonex’s long-standing support of the prestigious YONEX All England Open Championships, which this year marked its 40th year of partnership.
Sue Storey, Chief Executive at Badminton England, said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Yonex who share our vision and values for badminton to be a sport for all.
“Both of these events will allow a wide breadth of players to experience top-class badminton and inspire more people to get involved in the game, continuing to build on what will be an exciting year for the sport as we head towards Paris 2024.
Taiji Suzuki, MD at Yonex UK said “Yonex is thrilled to further our partnership with Badminton England, encompassing both the Junior and Senior All England Badminton Championships. This milestone year, as we celebrate 40 years of title sponsorship for the Yonex All England Open Championships, holds special significance. We are excited to continue supporting and promoting the sport of badminton in England”.
