Badminton England is pleased to confirm the recent addition of Milton Keynes Badminton Academy (MKBA) and All Stars Elite/Webber Academy as England Training Centres (ETCs). Their academy status has been awarded in recognition of their track record of consistently producing England Pathway players and wanting to work collaboratively with BE to enhance the Pathway and increase the connectivity with coaches and players based at the National Badminton Centre.

When determining future centres, many factors are taken into consideration, including a record of producing players who have progressed into the England Junior Pathway.

The centres must have access to suitable facilities and court time (weekly training and camp activities) as well as a lead coach who is, and has, the ambition to self-develop and those around them.

Justine Willmott, Pathway Manager, said: “We look forward now to developing our relationship with our new ETC’s and in 2020 we will look to build our ETC network and further integrate and align the Pathway with the England Performance Programme. “We are flexible in our approach to expanding our ETC network. We are keen to work with training environments where there is a proven record of delivering players into the England Pathway and where there is a desire to work collaboratively to enhance the quality and quantity of players progressing through the Pathway.”
