Even though 2020 looked very different, our volunteers still worked extremely hard to keep our clubs and communities motivated. Our Awards presentation, which recognise the great efforts of our volunteers, will take place on Sunday 31st January 2021, from 7.30 – 8.15pm.
Each year, we use our YONEX Volunteer of the Year Awards to recognise and reward these people for their invaluable efforts throughout the last 12 months, who allow our sport to thrive and grow. This year we focus on celebrating those volunteers whose hard work was apparent during the Covid19 crisis particularly.
There are once again two categories: YONEX Volunteer of the Year (19 years & over) and YONEX Young Volunteer of the Year (13-18 years). Nominations are now open and will close on Friday 11th December at 5pm. All nominations will be reviewed by an independent panel, and the winner of both awards will be announced as part of our National Volunteer Conference launch, on Sunday 31st January. Our National Volunteer Conference allows us to support and enhance your journey as a volunteer. Unlike other years, due to the current situation our conference will be a digital event, in the form of a webinar series between January and March 2021.
