BADMINTON England supports a number of players on the Lottery Funded World Class Performance programme:
These players are required to participate in daily training within the network of High Performance Centres.
The main training centre is the National Badminton Centre, in Milton Keynes, which is overseen by National Head Coach Ian Wright. The coaching team is made up of the following:
- Julian Robertson - National Coach
- Asger Madsen - National Men's Singles Manager
- Lu Jian - Assistant National Coach
- Peter Jeffrey - U24 GB Development Coach
The other High Performance Centres (HPC’s) have been established in co-operation with the English Institute of Sport and are at the following locations:
- University of Bath
- Loughborough University
- London - Brunel University
- University of Manchester
- University of Birmingham
- Leeds Metropolitan University
