Safeguarding and Protecting Young People Policy
The Board and Council of BADMINTON England formally adopted the revised Safeguarding and Protecting Young People Policy (version November 2012) at the BADMINTON England Council meeting held on the 28 November 2012. This replaces the Policy statement in the Child Protection Policy and Procedures Implementation in Badminton (version May 2005).

Safeguarding and Protecting Young People Implementation Guidance
This document outlines best practice in relation to safeguarding children and also includes the Codes of Conduct for Players, Coaches, Officials and Parents. It is particularly aimed at those who are involved in running badminton for young people.
It is likely that this document will evolve over time and we will endeavour to keep it up to date. One of the best ways to ensure that this document is as useful as it can be is by receiving your feedback. Where possible we would really like to bring the document to life by sharing examples of good practice that are being carried out locally. If there are areas where you would like more guidance please do let us know.
There are templates throughout the document for you to use, these will be made available as separate Word documents so that you can personalise them.
