Safeguarding Children - Training

BADMINTON England is committed to ensuring that everyone with a role in junior badminton should be able to access suitable training.  Appropriate training will enable individuals to recognise their responsibilities with regard to their own good practice to ensure that children and young people enjoy badminton to the full.  It will also help them to recognise and report suspected poor practice/concerns of possible abuse.

BADMINTON England recommends that all people working with children should receive safeguarding training appropriate to their role.

Safeguarding and Protecting Children Training Course (sports coach UK)

Sports Coach UK in partnership with the Child Protection in Sport Unit have developed the Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop.  It is a 3 hour training programme, which is recommended as the minimum standard for all people who work directly with and are responsible for teaching, coaching or supervising children in sport.
