Important note regarding BADMINTON England CRB applications.
The CRB has become DBS.
On 1 December 2012, the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) merged with the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) to become the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
As the BADMINTON England DBS / CRB checking service is predominantly online there will be no change to the application process but you will notice the change from CRB to DBS on the system and associated paperwork.
For further information please visit the Home Office website.
Disclosure and Barring Service Checks
The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks enable organisations that provide activities for children and vulnerable adults to access information to assist in recruitment decisions.
DBS checks should be conducted as part of a safe recruitment process and not as the only element of recruitment. For further information on safe recruitment take a look at the Safeguarding Children and Young People Guidance
