Benefits for Players

Members of the Coaching Register are insured and licensed by BADMINTON England to carry out coaching activities within the parameters of the award they have gained and adhere to the Code of Ethics & Code of Conduct for Coaches.

All coaches who join the Coaching Register are required to undergo an Enhanced CRB Check through BADMINTON England. Further details about safeguarding children including CRB checks can be found in the Safeguarding & Protecting Children section.

  • Civil Liability Insurance up to £10 million whilst coaching in the UK (This policy covers both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance) - not included in overseas membership
  • Legal Expenses Insurance Cover - not included in overseas membership

Coaching Register Fees

The prices for 2011-2012 membership will be as follows:

• Full - £35
• Overseas - £26 (no insurance cover)

Join the Coaching Register

Coaching Register membership is online - please click here to join or renew your membership


If you would like to join the Coaching Register please email or call 01908 268400. You will then be sent a username and password so that you can join the Coaching Register using the online system. A passport photo will be required in order to issue you your coaching cards. Once you have been through the online system please either email an electronic head and shoulders photo of yourself to or send a passport photo to Education & Training, BADMINTON England, National Badminton Centre, Milton Keynes, MK8 9LA.

If you do not already have a CRB disclosure certificate issued through BADMINTON England within the last two and half years, please email to request an application form.

Once you have been through the online system and the payment has been received as well as a photo, you will then receive your Coaching Register membership card within 10 working days.


If you have previously been a member of the Coaching Register but have let your membership lapse, please contact the coaching team on 01908 268400 or email . You will then be sent a username and password so that you can renew your membership through the online system.

If you have misplaced your 'Card Part A' (photo identification card) or would like a more up to date photo on your card, please email an electronic head and shoulders photo of yourself to and we will send you a new card free of charge.

Forum Rules and Terms of Use

Registration to Coach Zone is a benefit of the BADMINTON England Coaching Register Membership. The purpose of the forum is to provide a secure area where badminton coaches can discuss coaching developments and good practice, provide each other with new ideas and direct others onto beneficial coaching articles/websites.
