The English Badminton Award was instituted in 1993 for long standing exceptional service to badminton in England.
To nominate someone for an English Badminton Award (EBA) please contact your County Badminton Association (CBA). The CBA must submit the nomination using the nomination form, a copy of which can be found here.
The completed nomination form should be sent to the Executive Assistant/PA to the Chief Executive at BADMINTON England, using charleanetaylor@badmintonengland.co.uk or National Badminton Centre, Bradwell Road, Milton Keynes, MK8 9LA.
Upon receipt of the form an acknowledgement will be sent to the nominator. The nomination will then be passed to the BADMINTON England Honours Committee for consideration. Please note that this part of the process can take some time, so sufficient time should be programmed. This point is particularly important if the presentation of the award (if successful) is to be at an upcoming event.
Once a decision has been made on whether to award the individual, the nominator will be contacted. If successful, arrangements will be made for the nominee to receive the prestigious English Badminton Award. The presentation can be arranged as a surprise for the nominee (if requested by the nominator). The presentation of the award is usually made by one or more members of the Honours Committee. The nominee will receive a certificate and a small pin badge.
A list of recipients of the English Badminton Award can be found in The Book (a document containing facts, figures and useful information about badminton) under the Facts & Records section (click the link for a shortcut to that page). Please note that The Book is updated on a regular basis.
This page is regularly reviewed. Should you have any questions relating to the English Badminton Award please do not hesitate to contact the Executive Assistant/PA to the Chief Executive at BADMINTON England, using charleanetaylor@badmintonengland.co.uk or 01908 268435.
