What is a Badminton Bonanza?
A Badminton Bonanza is an open badminton event aimed at social players who play for fun but would like a chance to play and meet different people, and low to medium level league players.
Bonanza tournaments are also a useful stepping stone to county organised open tournaments (like the BADMINTON England Bronze Circuit) for league players who wish to advance to a more competitive level.
When and where are they held?
The flagship tournament is the Birmingham Badminton Bonanza. This is run each year at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena around August - more information available in the YEHLEX BIRMINGHAM BADMINTON BONANZA 2009 section.
How do I enter?
The first step is to get an entry form - this can be done by downloading it from the BIRMINGHAM BONANZA page.
The entry form will have details and conditions of entering the tournament such as the cost of the entry, who to send the form to, and by when. Please read these conditions carefully.
On the form you will have to state which event(s) you wish to enter and any partners you will be playing with. You will also have to complete a few more questions, including your details so that the entry secretary may contact you with information.
The final step is to send the completed entry form to the entry secretary - you must send your payment to cover entry fees with the form. On the entry form a date will be specified as the closing date for entries - your entry form and fees must reach the secretary by this date or you may not be accepted into the tournament.
