BADMINTON England's Commitment

Project Outcomes for Premier League 4 Sport

Club Future

This project began in January 2009 and by August 2011, BADMINTON England achieved the following:

  • Close to 5,000 new participants
  • Engagement with 33 Hub Clubs
  • Retention of 66% of the players; with 24% sustained in the sport long term
  • School to Club links in practise, with transition into Satellite and Hub Club sessions
  • All of the Hub Clubs sit within a Community Badminton Network and the PL4S co-ordinator is linked or part of the steering group
  • Out of the 20 PL football clubs, 11 have direct links with Performance Centres
By August 2013, we expect to achieve:
·         Additionality to the above outputs
·         Increase in the number of people engaged and transition into community sport
·         Increase in the number of people trained as Level 1, Level 2 coaches and Young Leaders
·          16 – 19 PL4S sessions to support retention targets
