BADMINTON England's is striving towards having:
'the best badminton coach education system in the World that produces high quality coaches to service all levels of player in England.'
Good quality coaching is vital at all levels of the game in order to give players the ability to gain success, develop their enjoyment of the sport and promote their lasting involvement in badminton. The award courses are designed so that coaches can maximise their contribution to players.
BADMINTON England has signed up to the UK Coaching Framework (UKCF). The UKCF has been launched across most of the major sports to create a coaching system that will develop, support and deploy the right coach at every stage of the Badminton Player Pathway.
Every coach will have the opportunity to follow the development pathway that suits their particular coaching environment. Coaches will be encouraged to embrace lifelong learning throughout their coaching career, specialising in their particular areas of interest and hopefully enabling them to reach their personal potential.
The coach development pathway is linked to the Long-Term Athlete Development Model for badminton and the structure is intended for everyone who wants to be involved in badminton coaching in England whether they want to be an assistant coach at a junior beginner session or an Olympic coach working with the best players in the World.
