On 28 June 2009 at a special ceremony at his home in Surrey John Gowers, talented and long serving Badminton administrator, Umpire and father of England International Gill Gowers was presented with a richly deserved English Badminton Award by John Havers, President of BADMINTON England.

Denbigh School's Center Parcs National Schools badminton winners were saluted at a Colours Assembly at the school today. Harrison Simcock, Kalana De Silva, Gregory Fung, Luke Phillips and Jake Varty won the Under 14 boys' title at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest in April and received the trophy from Team England's Heather Olver (pictured) today.
