It's that time of year again...

With the new season just around the corner please make sure you have given all your details to your Club Secretary for the coming season. It is very important we have your correct details on the system.

So, what is new for the 2010/11 season?

Membership Cards are being introduced and delivered to your home address; if your address is incorrect or incomplete on the system you will not receive your membership card!

Your Membership Card will be very important for the coming season especially when entering league matches, tournaments and County matches as you may be asked to show them as proof that you have affiliated. You may also wish to take up the opportunity to use the new member’s discounts available through the ‘Central Sports online shop’. However you will only receive your discount if you know your membership number!

(Junior members of a junior club (JJC’s) will not receive a membership card).

There will also be the opportunity, from the 2 September onwards, forall members to apply for a free ticket to Members Day at the Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships on Tuesday 8 March 2011. You will receive an e-shot regarding this nearer the time.

Are you receiving your Quarterly issue of the ‘Courtside’ magazine? Issue 4 was sent in June, issue 5 will be sent out in September. If you haven’t, then again please check with your Club Secretary and make sure they have your correct and complete address details. (Junior members of a junior club (JJC’s) will not receive the Courtside magazine)

ONLY ONE MAGAZINE IS SENT PER HOUSEHOLD – if you would like another magazine to be sent, email the membership team quoting your membership number and full name and post code and we will send another one out to you.

For the New Season we have updated the BADMINTON England website to highlight the great, new benefits we have introduced for the 2010/11 season. Please take a look and see what you think by clicking on the links below:

Just one more thing to tell you all, in case you do not receive your benefits:

In order to receive any of the benefits you are entitled to as a BADMINTON England member you need to be an active member.

ACTIVE refers to members who have paid their fees either through their club or direct to BADMINTON England if they are an individual member, and these fees have been received and processed by BADMINTON England. If, therefore, you do not receive the BADMINTON England benefits that you expect, please first check with your Club Secretary to see whether you are an active member through the online membership system before contacting the Membership Team.

Over the next few weeks you will be receiving a number of e-shots from us informing you of the ticket sales launch for both the Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships and the World Championships and also one inviting you to take part in the annual online members survey so I hope you will find these of interest and take the opportunity in the survey to feedback your thoughts of your membership to BADMINTON England.

That is everything for now, if you have any questions please email the membership team membership@badmintonengland.co.uk and we will be happy to help.
