Nathan Robertson and Anthony Clark's bold run at the Yonex Sunrise Hong Kong Open came to an end in the semi-finals.
After a brilliant performance in the European Championships in Spain in September where England were top of the medals table, the team went on to win the 4th Six Nations Team Event in the Netherlands on the 13th and 14th November.
Elizabeth Cann and Rajiv Ouseph won the singles titles at the Bank of Scotland Scottish International Championships in Glasgow today. England also had all four finalists in the men's doubles, had a winning Anglo-Scottish partnership in the women's doubles and provided the runners-up in the mixed doubles.
Robert Blair and Imogen Bankier's China Open run came to an end in the quarter-finals today in Shanghai. Meanwhile in Glasgow, National champion Elizabeth Cann aims to go one better than last year at the Bank of Scotland Scottish International Championships. HOST nation England were today drawn against both Scotland and Wales in Group 8 at the European Team Championship at Echo Arena Liverpool from February 10-15, 2009. The Czech Republic complete the group.
A total of 32 nations have confirmed their entries for the European Team Championship to be hosted by BADMINTON England at Echo Arena Liverpool from February 10-15 - and England have been seeded second behind Denmark.
