Regular visitors to www.badmintonengland.co.uk will notice a major change to the navigation. From 13 main headings, which were previously listed down the left-hand side of the site, we now have just five items arranged along the top of the screen:

Team England
Play Badminton

These are all continously displayed on the site, wherever the viewer travels.

A brand new design has been constructed, with the less cluttered navigation system at its core. To return to the home page at any stage, click on the word "Home" at the top of the story you are viewing or click on the red BADMINTON England shuttle logo (top left).

Here are the areas of content covered by each of the five headings:

News
A full listing of all news stories. Our top three stories are displayed in the News Box on the homepage, where the viewer can shuttle between those, badminton stories on the BBC Sport website ("BBC") and a new innovation - "Badminton World" - a window on badminton news from media outlets around the gliobe.

BADMINTON England
This section includes the contact details for BADMINTON England staff and County officials, plus updates to the BADMINTON England handbook, rules and regulations and information on the organisation’s partners.

Team England
Here can be found all you need to know about our elite players,

Tournaments
Results, entry information and the tournament calendar – a one-stop shop for all competitive play information for junior, senior and veteran players.

Play Badminton
This is the place to discover how to get involved in our great sport - where to play, how to join BADMINTON England, learn about development and coaching initiatives, such as Club Future, and information for young people and schools.

It should be stressed that all the relevant information is still retained on the site, and much is in exactly the same place, but there are changes to where content can be found - the most significant of which are:

Club Future (Play Badminton), Coaching (Play Badminton), Junior tournament information (Tournaments), Affiliated Leagues (Play Badminton), Join BADMINTON England (Play Badminton), National Rankings (Tournaments), Veterans (Tournaments), Young People & Schools (Play Badminton)

The new design is more dynamic and attractive, with the aim of making it easier to find information, incorporating new features and functionality which should make the experience of visiting the site more rewarding.

Further down the home page there is a Media Centre, which gives users the chance to view classic badminton action, view superb photos and listen to Radio Badminton.

Have a surf around, the look may be unfamiliar at first but you should soon become accustomed to the new layout. We hope you enjoy it and find it useful.
