THE four Home Nations today named 47 players who will be part of the GB Badminton Programme for the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympic Games.

Ten players were selected to represent England in the U17 Home Countries Quadrangular 2007. This year the event will take place in Cardiff, Wales from the 12th to the 14th January.

Brian and Jillian Wallwork were among the list of winners at this weekends Yehlex 12th English National Veterans' Championships, held at the National Badminton Centre, Milton Keynes.

 Mariana Agathangelou won the women's doubles and Nathan Rice finished runner-up in the men's singles at the Yonex Welsh Open as they hit form in the countown to the ASICS Grand Finals at Bath on Tuesday week. Natalie Munt lifted two titles in Cardiff - with Agathangelou and Kris Roebuck.
