Team Engand got off to an emphatic start at the European men's and women's team championships in Warsaw today. The men's team defeated Lithuania 5-0 in their opening Thomas Cup qualifier, winning without dropping a game. And the women's team followed up with a 5-0 win over Croatia for the loss on just one game in the fifth contest.

ANTHONY CLARK went into the record books at the English National Championships at the Velodrome in Manchester today when he won the men's doubles title for the ninth time in a row. His partner Nathan Robertson made it eight men's doubles title and, in ending Clark's three-year winning streak in the mixed doubles, he claimed his fifth mixed title....
England and Scotland assembled teams for this the 11th encounter in honour of Bob McCoig a famous and much loved Anglo Scot remembered as much for his humanity and sense of humour as for his exquisite stroke play, court craft and scrupulous fairness.
