Badminton magazine

BADMINTON England, the governing body for the sport in England, have
announced the appointment of iSPORTmarketing as their new magazine partner. iSPORTmarketing will be responsible for the management and production of BADMINTON MAGAZINE - the main magazine for the sport, and a key benefit to all members of BADMINTON England.

The aims of this new partnership are to secure BADMINTON MAGAZINE at the
forefront of badminton journalism, to enhance further the links with members
and to feature a new, dynamic lifestyle format and layout. The new version
of the magazine, to be launched in September, will be designed to help
stimulate interest in the sport at all levels and appeal to fans,
enthusiasts and players of all standards.

Will the magazine content change? Regular items like the Chief Executive's
column, post bag, national rankings, junior section, county round-up,
tournament reviews/reviews, player profiles and coaching hints and tips will
be complemented with new features like equipment/buyer guides, reader
services/offers, alongside general fitness, health and lifestyle articles.

As part of the partnership, iSPORTmarketing will be responsible - to
BADMINTON England - for the management of the magazine, including but
not limited to; editorial, selling advertising space, design and production,
printing and distribution. The high-quality, generically appealing magazine
will be sent quarterly to all BADMINTON England members as part of the valuable and comprehensive membership package.

"Following the rebranding of the Badminton Association of England, to
BADMINTON England, earlier this year, we have been keen to enhance the
direct appeal of the brand to all of our members and supporters. The new
magazine is an important part of that process. We are determined to give
the badminton public ever better value for money, as we go forward, and to
keep growing the sport" announced BADMINTON England Marketing & Membership Manager, Gerry Cronin.

Paul Walters of iSPORTmarketing expressed his delight at his company's
appointment: "Since launching iSPORTmarketing in January 2004 the company
have focussed primarily within squash and having achieved considerable
success in the sport, we now believe that the time is right to expand our
marketing activities into badminton. We are delighted to be working with
BADMINTON England in this very exciting area. Having given careful
consideration to the magazine's re-positioning, to ensure that it is
appealing to BADMINTON England's younger and potential members whilst
recognising that the average age of membership is currently over 40, we are
confident that our expertise will quickly establish the publication as a
'must-have' item for everyone in the country with an interest in the sport."
