World Class Coaching Seminar Success
The World Class Programmes held one of their regular Coaching Seminars for Coaches who are working with players on the Junior performance Programmes.
Three Seminars are held throughout the year with underlying themes aimed at the specific development areas for Junior players as they progress along the Performance Pathway.
The 22 coaches present over the 2 days are all currently coaching with the World Class Programmes and included High Performance Centre Coaches, Junior Performance Cell Coaches and coaches working on an individual basis with World Class Programme Players.
Considerable stimulating and thought provoking discussions were held on the following topic areas:
On Court Singles Development - Steve Butler
The English Performance Pathway - Ian Wright
Performance Programme Planning - Tom Causer
The 5 Disciplines of Badminton at World Class Level - Ian Wright
Pathway to the 2016 & 2020 Olympics - Martin Andrew
The next World Class Programme Coaching Seminar will be held on 16 & 17 January 2010.
