England's European champions and fourth seeds beat double world champions Nova Widianto and Liliyana Natsir in a nail-biting semi-final.

Clark (Notts) and Kellogg (Derbyshire) won 25-23 23-21 in 45 minutes against the top-seeded Indonesians. They took the first game on their fifth game point after fending off four against them. Then they clinched the contest in the second game on their fourth match point.

In the final on Sunday Clark and Kellogg, who will be playing mixed doubles for England against Poland in a friendly international in Swindon on Thursday, face second seeds He Hanbin and Yu Yang. The Chinese pair won their semi-final 21-18 21-17 in their semi-final against Koon Kien Wong Pei Tty, the Malaysian pair who had defeated Nathan Robertson and Jenny Wallwork in the quarter-finals.
