Andy Ellis made a winning Team England debut this afternoon in the European Team Championships in Amsterdam.

Andy Ellis is set for his senior England debut after he was named in a strong squad for the European Mixed Team Championships in Amsterdam next month. England will be bidding to improve on their silver medal (pictured) behind Denmark in Liverpool two years ago.

Rajiv Ouseph, the Commonwealth Games silver medalist and three-times English National men's singles champion, is among the British Olympic Association's 2010 Olympic Athletes of the Year, named today after reaching a career best of No. 11 in the world rankings earlier this month.

England were  beaten 3-0 by India in the team semi-finals at the Commonwealth Games this afternoon and must face Singapore tomorrow in the bronze medal match. India are through to the team final for the first time and face Malaysia, who won their semi-final 3-1.
